The context

The marketplace is a key pillar of an ambitious plan to transform the entire business and become the world's leading habitat platform. The marketplace will help expand the product and service offering, improve Customer experience, reinforce the market positioning and create a key revenue stream.

Your Mission

This role is part of the Customer Experience and Supply Chain team, which focuses on delivering a best-in-class delivery experience as the marketplace continues its growth across Europe. We achieve this by identifying opportunities and developing a series of initiatives to advance our supply chain strategy.

The primary project will involve integrating with carriers across Europe (handling both small and heavy/bulky goods) to create a pan-European delivery network and enable seamless customer deliveries and returns through this integration. Additionally, this entails close collaboration with the Sellers team to propose solutions and drive the adoption of preferred carriers, thereby optimizing both the delivery and returns experience.

This position requires close collaboration with external partners, including carriers and delivery platforms/aggregators, as well as internal teams in Product/IT and Sellers, to design, launch, and scale these programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Define new and innovative solutions that align with the strategic direction and future operating model.
  • Manage relationships with third-party carriers, negotiate preferential rates, and drive Seller adoption of recommended carriers.
  • Create a standardized returns framework, enabling Sellers to adopt unified return policies that enhance the overall post-purchase experience
  • Challenge the status quo in existing processes through collaboration with the Sellers team to address gaps and enhance the customer experience.
  • Lead cross-functional collaborations with internal departments and external partners to drive operational excellence and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Own and manage KPIs related to the delivery experience, including metrics such as delivery speed, on-time delivery, NPS, and customer delivery contacts.

About you:

  • Ideally, 5+ years experience working in program management, consulting, operations, logistics, supply-chain or similar fast-paced operational environment.
  • Must hold a valid Freight Forwarder License.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Have great analytical skills and are able to make data-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable with high levels of ambiguity, pragmatic decision making and able to learn and pivot quickly.
  • Have strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • A team player who is approachable and enjoys building good working relationships with stakeholder teams.
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, with strong SQL skills for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of Python or R would be a plus.
