Platform Engineer (OpenShift)

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our UniQue team in Strasbourg!

What will you be doing in this role:

• IT support, design, and troubleshooting of large Server and Storage Area Network (SAN) farms, as well as complex platforms.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of virtual environments, including VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Horizon.
• Server management and operating system knowledge (UNIX, Linux, Windows).
• Design, implementation, and administration of backup and restore solutions like VEEAM and StoreOnce.
• Administration of servers, blade systems, and composable infrastructure.
• Management of storage systems, including traditional SAN, CEPH, and VSAN.
• Managing OCP platform in DevOps mode with supporting systems like Red Hat Service Mesh, GitHub, Helm, GitOps, Ansible Automation Platform, Kafka.
• Development, execution, and troubleshooting of automation scripts using Ansible and PowerShell.
• PKI and certificate administration.
• Administration of monitoring systems like Nagios and Splunk.
• Centralized deployment of software and updates.

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant discipline and at least 6 years of professional experience
• Advanced knowledge of OCP platform administration with supporting tools like Red Hat Service Mesh, GitHub, Helm, GitOps, Ansible Automation Platform, Kafka;
• Advanced script development and troubleshooting skills (Ansible, PowerShell);
• Active Directory (AD) / LDAP and Keycloak Management;
• Knowledge and experience with monitoring and observability systems (configuration, customisation, further development), Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch, Kibana, Jaeger, NAGIOS and Splunk;
• Knowledge and advanced experience in Redhat, Windows OS administration of large farms;
• Advanced knowledge and experience with VMWare (vSphere, vSAN, Horizon);
• Knowledge and experience in administration of servers, bladesystems and composable infrastructure;
• Network Attached Storage (NAS) and distributed file systems;
• Knowledge and experience in administration of Backup & Storage systems (VEEAM, StoreOnce, vSAN, traditional SAN and CEPH);

Advantageous:

• Experience in software compliance monitoring and enforcement;
• Basic knowledge on DB systems, MS SQL, Oracle and Elastic search;
• Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills;
• Experience in managing highly available environments and multiple site support;
• Familiar with ITIL/ITIL V3 processes, in particular incident, change, capacity and configuration management.
