ROLE OVERVIEW
The Regional Finance Manager role will report to the Regional Managing Director and be responsible for overseeing financial operations, strategy and reporting within the region. (currently, France, Germany, Spain, Scandinavia, Benelux, Italy, Romania and local branch in Morocco)
This will include financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis to support the region’s strategic objectives.
The role will carry dual responsibility, split between the Regional Finance Manager role with responsibility for all countries within theWestern Europe region, plus additional direct responsibility for one of the larger countries within the region eg.Germany, France.
The role will lead a small team of financial professionals directly in the allocated country, plus indirectly across the remaining regional countries, providing guidance, direction, and support to drive financial performance and transformation across the region.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a key financial advisor and business partner to regional leadership, providing financial insights to support business decisions and drive growth and profitability for the region. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including country managers and Group HQ.
Oversee the preparation, presentation and consolidation of accurate and timely financial/statutory reporting for the region including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with local policies and group requirements ie.GAAP, GPS.
Ensure timely production, quality and analysis of monthly management accounts explaining key trends and potential risks and opportunities.
FP&A – Lead the monthly reporting, annual budgeting, quarterly QBR and rolling forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision making.
Lead the audit process including full engagement with external auditors.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements and internal controls.
Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the business as a key member of the Western Europe Leadership Team and integral support to the Western Europe Managing Director.
Continuous Improvement - Drive process optimization and efficiency initiatives within the finance function,Financial management of capital expenditure projects, including evaluation and monitoring.
Review ongoing financial performance of all active projects against budget and assist project managers to correctly account for their costs.
Cash Flow Management – Oversee regional cash flow and liquidity positions, optimizing working capital management and investment strategies.
Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, professional development and high performance.
Work closely with the Group CFO and Head of Group Finance to optimize performance across the Region.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Recognized professional accountancy qualification ie. ACCA, CIMA, CPA.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA desirable).
Proven knowledge of Western Europe accounting principles, practices and standards.
Experience of Project-Based/Contract accounting.
Experience of working as a Regional Finance Manager/Head of Finance within Western Europe.
People manager with a proven track record of leading change and motivating teams.
Knowledge of implementing new software applications would be advantageous.
High level of integrity and dependability
Excellent analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to interpret and analyse data to make informed and insightful business recommendations to influence the direction of the business.
Previous engineering or business services sector experience is desirable.

Based in France (59-Saint Amand Les eaux) or Germany (Wendelstein – Nurnberg).
