THE CONTEXT
In ADEO, this position is attached to the Omnicommerce department, whose role is to guarantee a 5-star customer experience across all channels. Inside of this department, the Marketplace is a key pillar of an ambitious plan to transform the entire business and become the world's leading habitat platform.It will help expand the product and service offering, step-change customer experience, reinforce Adeo's market positioning.
In only 4 years, we opened marketplaces in 5 countries, developed a multicutural and talented team of 160+ people, built solid capabilities and mechanisms, and delivered material results in terms of customer experience, customer and traffic acquisition, sales (several hundred millions of GMV in 2024), profit, and market position.
It is only the first step of our journey and we have even greater ambitions for the coming years!
In this context, Adeo's Marketplace team is looking for a Marketplace Business Developer in V.I.E. to support its growth and success for the German Market.
The position will be based in Berlin and requires to speak English and German (B2 level required).

YOUR MISSION
As a Business Developer in V.I.E., your main responsibilities will be:
- Prospect the market to identify, prioritize and manage a sales pipeline, lead negotiations and recruit high-potential Sellers onto the marketplace.
- Build strong relationships with the new sellers and provide them with data driven insights and a strong service to help them grow their business on the Leroy Merlin Marketplace.
- Monitor and analyze sellers performance metrics and identify areas for improvement to increase customer satisfaction, profitability and operations performance.
- Coordinate and manage projects across the organization (IT, Retail, stores, finance, etc.) and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines for high visibility projects.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities to improve our offering and stay ahead of the competition.
- Fluency to speak, read and write in English and German (C1 level minimum)
- From 1 to 3 years of experience (including apprenticeship or internship) in consulting, e-commerce, FMCG or retail
- Proven commercial and analytical skills
- Proven interpersonal and relational skills
- Willingness to learn
- Highly organized and results oriented with a high degree of ownership
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of the E-commerce industry and Marketplace platforms is a plus
