Overview:
Trissential is seeking a Consultant, Splunk .Net MVC C# Developer to join our client team in St. Paul, MN, working in a hybrid work model with up to three days a week onsite. In this role, you'll play a key part in modernizing critical applications while training a dedicated development team on Splunk technologies.With a focus on innovation and collaboration, you'll transform business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring security and efficiency at every step. Responsibilities:
- Train the software development team in Splunk basics, reporting, dashboards, search capabilities, APIs, and enterprise concepts
- Collaborate to develop and implement a Splunk solution to modernize the Archive Services application
- Define technical design and programming specifications aligned with system architecture
- Build, deploy, and test applications using automated tools and technologies
- Identify and recommend cost-effective technical solutions to meet business objectives
- Review test plans and execute unit and integration testing
- Foster strong business partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Provide knowledge transfer and Splunk training to ensure ongoing team proficiency
Qualifications:
- Proven experience developing Splunk applications, APIs, dashboards, and logs (5+ years)
- Expertise in developing ASP.NET MVC applications with C# (7+ years)
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks like Bootstrap and jQuery
- Solid knowledge of T-SQL for MS SQL Server and working with Entity Framework
- Experience with Agile Scrum teams, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP web services, XML, XSLT, and Domain-Driven Design concepts
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and business teams
Essential skills:
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Adaptability in learning and teaching new technologies
- Strong interpersonal and consulting skills to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
Desired skills:
- Experience in law enforcement or criminal justice systems
- Knowledge of developing Windows Services with .NET 4.0+ and unit testing using NUnit or JUnit
Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to modernize applications using Splunk and other technologies
- Hands-on experience with full software development lifecycle practices, from planning to deployment
Benefits:
Trissential offers a competitive compensation package for full time roles. The pay range for this role is $101 000 to $112 000 annually depending on candidate's qualifications and experience. This role is eligible for benefits and includes options for medical, dental, vision, and tele-health benefits; Health Savings Account with company contribution; 3 weeks PTO, and 401k retirement savings.
