KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides leadership for renewal of and compliance to Plant Electrical Standards, - Electrical Power Safety, OSHA 29 1910.269 and NFPA 70EServes as primary administrator and direction setter for plant control systems (FTView, FT Historian, WW, VMware, ACP Thin Manager, PLCs and Motion Controls)Provides coaching for C&IS teams in implementing sustainable systems for plant E&I skill developmentBuilds and maintains a sustainable process control onboarding system for plant C&IS team, Interns and Area Leaders, as well as, ongoing coaching and development of Process & Packing Engineers and InternsOwner of the plant Electrical BCP (Business Continuity Planning) recovery effortResource to the Plant ESO (Electrical Safety Owner) and Corporate Power Owner on power system standards and technical documentation for these systemsProvides expertise in the design and implementation of process automation applications, such as control strategies, HMI design, MES applications and KPI developmentWorks with Plant Engineering, E&I coordinators and technicians to Identify losses and develop plans or strategies to eliminate them, in the areas of safety, quality, reliability and costWorks with Engineering IS team to maintain and update plant servers, networks and IS infrastructure for FactoryTalk, Wonderware and interface with Proficy HistorianWorks closely with Engineering and Operations leaders on selection and installation/start-up of new equipment; is the technical expert on new equipment and insures the training of others with regard to control systemsServes as Lead C&IS Engineer and/or Project Manager for projects ranging from small E&I focus to Major Capital InitiativesCoach and trainer for the C&IS Capital Project Delivery Process and manages electrical workload planning Sponsor for Contract Electrical Engineering and Electrical Construction resourcing plans SELECTION CRITERIAEducation A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar is required Experience At least 5 years of Power and Controls experience in a manufacturing environment is requirePrior electrical engineering experience in the food industry Previous experience in Project Management and/or Project Delivery is preferred Other Strong knowledge of process control hardware, instrumentation and software including PLC platformsWorking knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA 29 1910.269Understands technical systems and terminologyExperience learning and integrating new technologiesExperience leading the installation of equipment in food manufacturing environmentStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work and manage effectively within a team environmentStrong organizational, critical thinking and problem solving skillsEffective presentation, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to organize and prioritize actions to help meet plant objectives and long-term visionSelf-motivated and can work independently with minimal direct supervisionExperience leading, coaching and teaching others effectivelyAble to perform moderate activity including but not limited to, significant time spent on manufacturing floor and some physical work on equipment
