IDC is a subsidiary of IDG, the world's leading technology media, research, and events company.About the PositionIDC is looking for an analyst with significant experience in enterprise networking to help drive the continued development and success of its European Networking and Life-cycle Services program.The role will report to the head of IDC's European Infrastructure and Telecoms team.
This is a full time, highly visible position that will suit an ambitious, dedicated, and internationally-minded professional who is seeking an exciting career development opportunity in a global firm and within the dynamic and continuously expanding information technology market.
Based in Europe, the role may involve some foreign travel, primarily in Europe or in the U.S. Responsibilities Based in Europe, the role will have three key aspects: shape and create content for the Enterprise Networking and Life-cycle Services program; deliver consulting projects and speaking engagements; ensure that IDC continues to be a thought leader in this space.
This role will require a deep understanding of networking, how it is transforming, and opportunities in relation to key market developments.The successful candidate will have excellent customer relationship skills and will be eager to contribute to the continuing expansion of our client base and business across the region.
Responsibilities:The candidate will shape and deliver research for our existing syndicated product ? both qualitative and data focused. She/he will do this by interacting with the market, as well as desk research from varied publicly available sources.
The analyst will be asked to present in webinars, to clients or at IDC events.She/he will also lead and/or support specific consulting projects, based on IDC data and analysis. The candidate is also expected to build strong a strong presence and relationships with vendors active in this market and understanding key business and technology issues they face.We are looking for a self-motivated person who can work independently, while working in a cooperative environment with other team members, both in Europe and as part of our global research groups.
Qualifications The successful candidate will ideally have at least a Bachelor's degree in business management, international business, information technology, economics or science, and a minimum of 8 years of industry experience. He/she will possess excellent analytical and communication skills and be eager to support and directly contribute to IDC's portfolio and business.As such, the candidate will have:Technology market understandingDeep insight of vendor and ecosystem strategiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent analytical, communication, and relationship skillsFinancial and numeric skills ?
