To support the deployment expansion of our Silicon photonics and expand our product portfolio to address new challenges and requirements of the Cloud AI infrastructures and beyond datacom application, we’re looking for a talented Product Strategy and Marketing Senior Manager to join our Business Unit.

This role is central to shaping Soitec’s market vision and ensuring our products address tomorrow’s customer needs.

What does the job consist?:

As Product Strategy and Marketing Senior Manager, you will drive market insight, align product development with future needs, and reinforce Soitec’s leadership in the photonics world and applications. Technical skills are key to the success of the job, and business development flair or experience will be a plus !

Your key responsibilities will be :

  • Technological Intelligence: Monitor technological trends to strategically position Soitec across global photonics markets.
  • Product Value Proposition: With strong knowledge of PIC technology industry development, define product differentiation and value propositions to drive business growth.
  • Market Analysis: Identify mid- and long term trends, customer pain points, and emerging technologies to guide the strategy and propose disruptive solutions to develop
  • Roadmap Development: Define technical requirements for future products and collaborate with Product Management on feasibility and specifications.
  • Photonics Expertise: Serve as the photonics expert for product and business, working across a complex system with multiple internal and external interfaces
  • Support Business Development team: by carrying out competitive analysis, market sizing research (TAM/SAM), and business planning alongside the strategic planning office.
  • Go-to-Market Support Execution: owner of the product portfolio roadmap, you will collaborate with Product Management in developing, implementing and executing effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Technical Training: Sales & FAEs internal teams, partners, and customers with a deep understanding of Soitec’s products, value proposition, and market positioning (second level support).
  • Networking and Brand Promotion: Build, animate and grow an international value-chain-wide network, Representing Soitec at global events with impactful technical presentations and marketing content.
  • Key Industry Contacts: Develop direct relationships with key players in silicon photonics at various levels across the value chain.

Requirements & qualifications:

Education: PhD or Master’s degree in photonics applications, optoelectronics engineering, or physics, with deep knowledge of photonic devices, assembly technologies, and optical system architecture.

Technical Expertise: Strong experience with SiPh technology and a proven background in designing or characterizing silicon photonic or other integrated optical/optoelectronic devices or circuits.

Industry Knowledge: Over 12 years in the photonics industry, with significant expertise in marketing strategy and customer engagement. Familiarity with datacom/telecom and industrial ecosystems, market segmentation, and competitive landscapes.

Experience in sensing and quantum technologies is a plus.

Skills: Strategic and analytical mindset, proactive "can-do" attitude, and excellent collaboration skills. Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, combined with solid interpersonal strengths.

Global Presence: Willingness to travel occasionally for customer and partner visits, fairs, and conferences in Asia, North America, and Europe.

Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
